Every Friday, the Jacksonville Downtown Farmer's Market attracts the lunch crowd from Downtown and surrounding areas. The market is home to hand-made merchandise by local vendors . One such craft is that of Dareen Cutaia. Cutaia is the owner and creator of the Jo'elle candles booth. She sells all types of candles. From soy-based candles to bakery-themed varieties, to holiday scents, Jo'elle candles sells it all. Cutaia describes the farmers market as "a big family".
Tressa Troiano is also a part of the "big family" down at the farmers market. Troiano sells all-natural bath and beauty products that are biodegradable, eco-friendly and handmade. After being laid off from her job and and seeking a solution to both of her childrens' exema condition, Troiano began to do research and decided to create her own line of environmentally-friendly bath products to provide relief for consumers with sensitive skin. Garry Trafford, another market participant, brings a natural aspect to the market with his bonsai trees, exotic plants, orchids, lucky bamboo, and many other interesting botanicals. Trafford has been working with plants for at least 20 years, and sells his wares as eco-friendly gifts. With the Christmas season coming up, the Jacksonville Downtown Farmer's Market is a great place to find unique presents and support the local economy.
