Kelly Warren spends a majority of her time during the work week behind her desk in the student life offices of Kent Campus. As the college wide coordinator for student life and leadership development, she is constantly making plans and organizing performances for the students of Florida State College at Jacksonville. One thing that stands out about Kelly, besides her positive attitude, is the colorful jewelry around her neck and wrists. While you admire the vibrant beads, you wouldn't imagine that she was the talent behind the piece.
"I'm a full-time working wife and mom of twin 6-year-old girls who are the light of my life," said Kelly. "I work with college students by day and okay, sometimes nights and weekends in this line of work and in my 'spare time', I create jewelry, art and music."
Kelly Warren is the brains behind Happy Shack Designs, where she sells her personal brand of artisan jewelry as well as her photography.
Through her shop on etsy, she has had a total of 189 reviews with a rating of 100 percent positive.
In a recent interview with studiomothers.com, Kelly listed the historic districts in Jacksonville as her inspiration.
"I love to take photographs around there," she said. "I love the color combinations on many of the old Victorians in these areas, and they crop up in my jewelry."
