We offer housing assistance (for out of state interns), relocation expense reimbursement, and educational and social events throughout the summer. We have summer internship opportunities available across the U.S; including Minnesota, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Arizona, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Florida.**A Day in the Life**Under the direction of a more experienced engineer, you will prepare plans for your own work, participate in technical reviews, implement advances in current state-of-the-art technology and identify opportunities for productivity and quality improvement. You may test for product integration and verification, conducting those tests based on design specifications, and will prepare formal documentation.Electrical Engineering: Work in partnership with engineering teams to use state-of-the-art engineering tools and methods to design/develop products to be used by physicians including pacemakers, and implantable defibrillators, neuro-stimulators, drug pumps and other implantable medical devices. Other positions may work with surgical tools, diabetes pumps, design product components, circuitry, or hardwarefrom detailed concept descriptions.**Must Haves:**To be considered for a summer 2022 engineering internship, you must meet the following basic requirements. How you meet these criteria, must be clearly indicated on your resume to be considered for a position.+ Bachelors degree student with a sophomore or junior level class standing+ Working towards a bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related engineering major+ A minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA+ Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and does not require sponsorship in the future for an employment visa+ Participants must be able to participate full time (40 hours/week) as part of our intern cohort:+ Monday, June 6 - Friday, August 19+ If you attend aMedtronic Targeted School ( and meet the basic qualifications above, apply on your schools career services website to one of our engineering intern job postings by the fall deadline listed on the site to be considered for a campus interview**Nice to Haves:**+ Prior work on projects in a team environment is preferred.+ Relevant academic projects, internship or lab experience preferred.+ Knowledge of one or more of the following is preferred: IC design, signal processing, Labview, MATLAB, basic electrical engineering concepts of design, sensor technologies, schematics, RF.+ BioMed knowledge a plus but not required.**About Medtronic:**Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
