WHY WORK HEREAs the Payroll Auditor, you will be responsible for completing daily audits on payroll system transactions. You will track audit issues that are identified and report this information to the appropriate payroll representative. You will then be responsible for documenting this information and ensuring all necessary changes have been made. You will help establish trends on payroll transaction issues in order to improve the process and ensure consistency.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR* 3 years of auditing Payroll.* Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with high attention to detail* Ability to type 10,000 keystrokes per hour (100% accuracy)* Proficiency with Microsoft Windows platforms* Proficiency with MS Office 2007/2010* Excellent written and oral communication skills* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills* Excellent work ethic and dedication* Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position.* Ability to interact within all levels of the organization* A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with a concentration in Excel.WHY THIS POSITIONJob ResponsibilitiesThe person in this position will be responsible for reviewing all payroll reports and documents for accuracy based on compliance with appropriate state and federal regulations.* Review, inspect and reconcile time entries, payroll records and reports in ADP to support and process payroll retro's, splits, payroll adjustments, and discrepancies between pay checks.* Communicate and follow-up with Payroll Manager with payroll processing inconsistencies.* Generate, review and interpret a variety of reports on a routine basis in order to identify variances for resolution (i.e., minimum wage compliance, proper deductions, accrued benefits)* Complete audit checklist/report for each audit and communicate results to payroll representative.* Provide training sessions regarding payroll procedures to supervisors and managers* Proactively and consistently identify and drive opportunities for current auditing procedures and suggest improvements to procedures, reports.* Build strong and collaborative relationships with team members to understand and resolve discrepancies.* Maintains confidentiality and security of all employment and payroll data.* Collaborate cross-functionally to understand ERG policies and practices to ensure alignment, effective communication of objectives and timelines between both departments.Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
