We are excited to add an intern to our cranio maxillofacial and thoracic team in Jacksonville, Florida in summer 2021! This intern is responsible for assisting development engineers in all phases of product design and development.

When you join ZB as an intern or co-op, you join a team of passionate and dedicated individuals. This intern will be able to network and work with members of their direct team and on-site team members, as well as participate in development and social events with a larger intern population and employee resource group members. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Generation of design control and risk management documentation (i.e. Hazard Analysis, Design Verification Protocols and Reports)
Evaluates and/or improves product designs under the direct supervision of assigned engineering or management personnel
Becomes familiar with Regulatory and FDA submission paperwork in support of product development
Becomes familiar with production routings, bills of material and quality assurance documentation for product development
Learns to function in a business environment by supporting department goals and setting individual personal session and program goals Expected Areas of Competence Strong written and oral communication, teamwork and organizational skills are essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at once
Attention to detail and sense of urgency associated with work ethic
Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups
Ability to establish a process method which meets performance and quality requirements
Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerancing
Experience working with CAD design software is beneficial Education/Experience Requirements Must be actively enrolled in an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment; junior or senior level undergraduate students preferred.
Pursuit of Bachelors Degree in engineering discipline. Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering majors preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
GPA of 3.4+ preferred Travel Requirements None Additional Information This position is a full-time internship for summer 2021 located on-site in Jacksonville, Florida. Performance contingent, the team has interest in continuing the internship on a part-time basis during the school year.
