The Floriology Digital Marketing Intern will be responsible for fulfilling the digital marketing duties laid out in the social media playbook. The social media playbook requires the intern to post across multiple social media platforms for our three internal brands: BloomNet, Floriology Institute, and Napco. In addition to managing the social accounts, they will be responsible for writing and posting multiple blogs to our internal websites. The intern will also work closely with the Director of Education & Industry Relations in assisting with Floriology class setup and cleanup, student interviews, filming and more!The Floriology intern will help as needed with our digital marketing team for external clients. This work could range from graphic creation to review management to SEO writing. They should feel comfortable taking on new tasks in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Create and schedule content for all social media channels (primarily Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram).Monitor social media communities to identify community management opportunities.Monitor all social media accounts to engage and assist with user inquiries.Create and post SEO optimized blogs to internal websites ensuring it's uploaded correctly.Search for shareable user-generated content across social channels.Understand current trends, technologies and advancements in social, mobile and online review sites.Stay organized and ensure tasks and projects are completed in a timely manner.Work with the Traditional Marketing team to develop relevant, correlated marketing strategies for the internal brands.Work on special brand initiatives as requested.Assist in filming and editing videos.Conduct interviews with Floriology students and staff as needed.Assist the Floriology Digital Marketing team as needed.Requirements:Currently working towards a degree or equivalent experience requiredAt least 1 year of online marketing experience, with know-how in social media and SEO.Has demonstrated knowledge and curiosity for emerging online channels, social media, and SEO.Understanding and curiosity for the social media universe including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, blogs, etc.Ability to adapt to the style, tonality and vernacular of the current "voice" of employee and consumer facing Facebook and other social mediums.Ability to assist in the planning, development, and implementation of projects/programs.Work well under pressure of deadlines.Technology savvy with solid understanding of the web, Photoshop, online marketing, direct marketing and best social media practices.Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.Lives in the online space.Drive, energy, and passion to work with category-leading brands.Computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, PhotoshopEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
