Work includes but not limited to Cleaning Bilges, Cleaning and Gas-Freeing of tanks. Set up and break down of pumping equipment. Will be requiredto carry out simple one or two step instructions. Must have the ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**+ Show an aptitude to learn Pump Department skill set and applies knowledge.+ Learns 5-s standards.+ Demonstrates team work and a can do attitude.+ Understands and complies with all company policies i.e. Safety/Health+ Understands & executes instructions in verbal or written form.+ Conducts himself/herself as a safety champion.+ Complies with Respect in the Work Place.+ Adheres to Pump Shop Craft procedures as appropriate to this job classification.+ HSDG or GED 1 years experience with General Maintenance practices+ .Must have the ability to read and interpret safety rules.+ Must be able to obtain and maintain Defense Biometric Identification Systems "DBIDS "Access Card.**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**+ Show an aptitude to learn Pump Department skill set and applies knowledge.+ Learns 5-s standards.+ Demonstrates team work and a can do attitude.+ Understands and complies with all company policies i.e. Safety/Health+ Understands & executes instructions in verbal or written form.+ Conducts himself/herself as a safety champion.+ Complies with Respect in the Work Place.+ Adheres to Pump Shop Craft procedures as appropriate to this job classification.+ Demonstrate the ability to set up pumping operations with little to no supervision.+ Conduct tank openings and closings.+ Demonstrate the ability to set up ventilation with little to no supervision.+ Demonstrate the ability to set up air services with little to no supervision.+ Conduct tank washing.+ Conduct blanking inside and outside of tanks.+ Assist with oil spills Must have 8 hour Haz-Woper training to handle oil.+ Assist with air testing and hydrostatic testing.+ Assist in setting up-009-88 operations.+ Able to accomplish and complete Person in Charge (PIC) training.+ Able to accomplish and complete Ship Yard Competent Person training.+ Have some knowledge of operating Vacuum Truck.+ Some of the tasks above the will require working alone to accomplish the tasks.**Marine Services Technician (Entry Level)****66703BR**EEO Career Site Equal Opportunity Employer.
