From advancing energy efficiency to reimagining online commerce, the work we do is not only transforming the world of business-it's helping advance governments, power nonprofits, and giving billions of people the tools they need to outpace change.For more information about Oracle (NYSE:ORCL), visit us atoracle.com.* *The Organization:The Oracle Hardware Development team is responsible for the architecture, design, and development of Oracle's x86-based server products used in Oracle's Public Cloud and Engineered Systems products.What You'll Do:As an intern on the Mechanical Engineering team, you will be involved in all phases of the hardware development life-cycle.* Develop initial concepts and 0erforming simulations and correlation on system level and components of servers.* Conduct analysis and optimization of cooling architectures.* Participate in test and validation of system vibration and drive RVI testing.* Create 3D CAD layouts, 2D engineering drawings and documentation.* Use Creo 7 unfortunately. Release designs, through ECO process, to production.* Work with Oracle's external manufacturers to build prototypes and early production units.* Participate in layout design reviews, investigating new and evolving technologies as well as simulation tools and methodologies.Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting and determining corrective actions for all mechanical related issues and supporting other groups with their efforts, including other x86 programs, Value Engineering, PC Design, and WWOPs Engineering.What You'll Bring: (Objective Minimum Qualifications)To be considered for a Mechanical Engineer Intern position, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. *Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs*, either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.* Will be enrolled in a *Bachelor's *or *Master's *degree program in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering field during the 2021-22 school year.* Have completed*at least your junior year*toward your undergraduate degree, or higher, by summer 2021.* Have*no more than 12 months*of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience).
