Risk Administrator

Job Purpose:

Support the department s risk finance effort to include assisting with insurance renewal preparation and policy documentation, providing evidence of insurance, confirming premium payments, and expense monitoring.

Initial Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Risk Management, or degree in a related discipline with insurance experience.

  • Knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures related to contracts of insurance, loss control, and claims management.

  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects, coordinate with others effectively to meet deadlines and deliverables.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to interact with both external and internal customers in a professional, friendly manner.

  • PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Sound discretion in dealing with sensitive company and personnel information, working within corporate guidelines.



  • Primary (Essential) Job Functions :

    The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the company:

  • Provides support for the corporate insurance program to include gathering underwriting information, submitting applications, and communicating with brokers.

  • Develops reports, and summary analysis for appropriate application of risk management strategies and resources in order to minimize claims frequency and severity.

  • Compiles exposure data for general liability, auto liability, property, workers compensation, and aviation including but not limited to payroll, square footage, COPE, lease data, sales, and vehicle counts.

  • Confirms compliance of insurance limits for auto program.

  • Coordinate issuance of certificates of insurance and auto insurance identification cards.

  • Prepares filings and fees for monopolistic states.

  • Coordinates surety bonds with internal staff and broker.
